HARPS Marine and Logistics Services Limited (MLS) has achieved an “AA” rating on the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) Vendor Categorization Report published every quarterly.
The NCDMB was established following the enactment of the Nigerian Content Act on 22 April 2010. The purpose of NCDMB is to build local capacity and competencies in Nigeria, and to increase indigenous participation in the oil and gas industry.
All oil and gas projects in Nigeria will need to give due considerations for local operators, and the NCDMB has guidelines and procedures to ensure that all local operators have detailed plans on how they intend to ensure the use of locally manufactured goods and services, as well as the development of local expertise for the projects.
HARPS Group has always adopted a very careful view on the development of our Nigerian Content, and we will continue to make sure that we will continue to qualify for our “AA” rating on the list.
